The first edition of the catalogue featured simple black and white line illustrations of the designs. However, not only was it well received, Jane was besieged with calls demanding the designs in larger sizes. Jane recalls “The market didn’t cater for bigger sizes so I decided to do something about it”. A decision was made to increase the range with Jane and Alice working closely together, each bringing their own individual talents to the design table. Alice located a factory in Cyprus who was able to offer a unique service for the Comfy Clothes Collection.
The emphasis was on versatile clothes in a mix and match range using mainly natural fabrics with sizes ranging from 12 to 40. The clothes soon found a reputation for “good holiday wear” and the Giant T-shirt Dress has been a runaway success every season.

The Kanopy catalogue is a celebration of the ethnic approach to dressing containing a unique and exclusive collection of women’s clothes. The Comfy Clothes collection is all hand screen printed on cotton and cotton jersey.
