Good performances. Very dramatic story, though no surprises. Makes your heart ache for humanity...it highlights more than unscrupulous journalism.

How the press can manipulate people. Still relevant today in an age of fake news. Kirk Douglas is perfect as the unscrupulous newspaperman who will stop at nothing to gain fame.

Terrible but maybe I'm comparing it to how brilliant "Sunset Boulevard" was which Wilder did before this.

I highly recommend this film! This film could be made today as it is highly relevant to current issues.
It was an underrated movie at the time of release.
Very memorable and a must see.
