I live in NYC and this film resonates completely. It's an honest well-done slice of life coming of age story.

Very cute 'coming of age' piece--there is some mature subject matter

The mother is trash and the boyfriend is a pedophile; such revolting characters that I barely was able to watch the movie. Thankfully daughter Lena has enough good sense to make a decent future for herself; her strength was the only reason I persevered (and not sure it was worth it).

Beautiful, moving story with some top-notch acting, especially the mother. Some great street scenes of NYC, too. The final scenes between mother and daughter... big lump in my throat.
