Complain however much that "Crossed Tracks" is too clever-by-half, at least it's not too clever for its own good: this is an engaging and consistent entertainment. Not profound, but fun and with a denouement that feels earned.

Intriguing, well played and visually accomplished but convoluted, farfetched and ultimately unsatisfying. It's great to see Fanny Ardant in something.
