Wonderful movie about movies. It tells of a family, tracing them through several decades, with the Chinese political and cultural framework of the 1960s and 70s hovering in the background. The events, acting and music all come together to tell an interesting and engaging story.

Electric Shadows is a charming movie where family unity comes out of tragedy. It is witty even if the Chinese culture seems a bit skewed to our American eyes. It's worth watching and is captivating to the end.
