I have always wondered how someone could present the unique visuals of something like Dog Star Man without losing a more conventional narrative or style. I think I found my happy medium, although it is an incredibly depressing film at times. Always a masterful work though.

I've been a huge fan of Don Hertzfeldt since the Spike & Mike days in the 90's. I loved his hilarious stick drawing shorts but this attempt at a more serious film is just outstanding. Funny yet heart-wrenching with great animation. Highly recommended.
