Really mediocre movie with two of my favorite actresses. Judi Dench and Maggie Smith cannot rescue this dull and predictable plot. None of the characters are well developed and the film lacks depth. Felt like an old-style made for television children's tale and not in a good way.

This was absolutely a touching story of human emotion. Both Judy Dench and Maggie Smith give it their all in this spot on performance. Ladies in Lavender is a MUST SEE MOVIE!!
