a good film. saying meek's cutoff is boring says more about your expectations of what a film should do for you and not really a reflection of the film itself. this one shakes you up in a subtle way. the pacing of the film just feels right to me.

This movie lead me on to no climax. Interesting along the way but left the whole thing hanging.

BORING! The trek was arduous and so was the excruciatingly slow pace and limited dialogue. 25 minsutes into it, we opted out.

Stuff, like the camera's 'gaze' being a woman's make this film very enjoyable for me. It's very paced, but I like that because there's a lot of stuff to notice about the shots(Reichardt is an excellent filmmaker). I generally don't even like Western-type films, but this one does it for me. ...Read more

30 minutes into the film I have still to figure out what's going on other than a relentless trek across a barren landscape. The film is mostly long shots and a few middle shots -- no close-ups. This means that it's hard to read body language, even when people are talking. I can hardly ...Read more

'Authentic' depiction of the sacrifice of those wanting a new life in the unknown west. One also feels the quiet strength of the dispossessed native Americans.

How about just critiquing the movie? You have your opinion and other people have theirs. That's what this is for, honest opinions from people who have watched it, not catty insults just because you disagree.
