This is one of those movies where no character behaves at all like a real human being, all hookers have hearts of gold, and skid row drifters look like Ryan Reynolds. Solid performances from both leads keep it from being a total bust. 2 stars

Having lived in Vegas 20 years I know a bit about 'gaming mentality' and there was the makings of a great movie here..but it missed the mark because of a less than stellar script. Solid performances and certainly watchable..but not what it could have been.

Judith is right, a good road movie which takes us through a slice of middle America. And, if you are interested in gambling, see it. Ryan Reynolds is, in my mind, an under appreciated actor.
