I remember watching this in the theater in the 90s and being disturbed by the violence. I understand that it may be an all too accurate portrayal but found it so unsettling I recall it 25 years later vividly.

I couldn't take the violence! LovE? Not my name for it! only watched the 1st 1/2 hour! plenty decent films to watch without filling my head with rubbish!
