I was a young boy in Manhattan back then, when this movie was shot. So haunting, dark, reflective, realistic, and disturbing, it is difficult for me to understand how this movie could be criticized, in any way . It is truly a masterpiece of work....WATCH IT...

so powerful!but horrible how he tells the boy that Money is the only thing, and then it is his own undoing-which is how rod Steiger's character realizes he has the boy's blood on his hands!
