What Green Can Be

This film goes beyond the four Rs -reduce, repurpose, reuse, recycle- of being green, showing how one small town is encouraging green building through the lens of one house under construction, and the beautiful results that can occur when we decide together to go green. Documentarian Lauren Speeth introduces a history of the environmental movement tracing to the Middle Ages and archival footage from the 1960s and '70s, including our 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter's solar panels and the roots of Earth Day. Relevant to students of environmental & urban design, architecture & interior design, decor, and civics, as well as town planners and engaged citizens. This film is innovative, entertaining, and informative.
